Mom & Dad moved from Carolina, Rhode Island to Georgia Plains, Vermont in 1947. Going directly west of Georgia Plains you would cross the northern tip Lake Champlain and be in Plattsburgh, New York.

I have both fond and not so fond memories of Georgia Plains. We lived on a small road with a 45 degree left turn directly in front of our home. Cars in the fog were forever going off the road, some rolling over into the ditch. But more later; I'm not even born yet.

Don Woods had a turkey farm across the street. The Pierce's turkey farm was on the way to St. Albans which is directly north of Geogia Plains. Papa and Mama came 1st week in Aug. This means that I had met Grandma Woodworth.

Dickinson Center is in upper New York State between Messena and Malone and 50 miles south of the Canadian border.

Dad finally gave in to Cheryl and allowed us to get a puppy. Cheryl named him 'Tippy' because of the white tip on his tail. photo

Moved to Starrucca, Pennsylvania.
Starrucca is in the northeast corner of Pennsylvania. It is both 11 miles south and 11 miles west of New York (Hancock). Binghamton, New York is 45 miles northwest.

Bought a piano. More on this later.

Back to a coal furnace.

Time has jumped. There was a move to East Marion, Long Island during the summer of 1965.
1966 was Jim's first year at Gordon College; Bill's first year in the Air Force (Otis AFB - Falmouth, Massachusetts), my seventh year at Camp Joslin (1st year as counselor).
